We will explore the journey of these fallen heroes, from their rise to fame as champions of justice to their descent into villainy. Join us as we uncover the dark side of superheroes’ fall and the complex and often tragic circumstances that lead them down this treacherous path.

Jean Grey

Jean Grey’s “The Dark Phoenix Saga” is unarguably the most iconic story portrayed by this character in X-men history. The “Marvel Girl,” who was once part of the X-men team, was manipulated by Mastermind to become the Queen of the Hellfire Club. Even though Mastermind was unsuccessful in corrupting Jean, the Phoenix Force took over her mind and caused havoc in the Marvel universe.

The Dark Phoenix went on a rampage and destroyed several planets and countless civilizations. However, during the war between Shi’ar and X-men, Jean realized the force within her and disintegrated herself to stop the Dark Phoenix. She is capable of controlling matter at the molecular level, with the exception of adamantium and anything coated or fused with adamantium, when her strength is at its peak. At the height of her abilities, Jean has the ability to instantly atomize almost anything in her immediate vicinity. It is an extension of her telekinetic strength in both timelines, and she is shown to be able to use it to influence a variety of things, including people. She frequently uses her ability in the original timeline when she is in fits of wrath, most notably when she uses it to kill Charles Xavier and both humans and mutants during the Alcatraz Island incident. In the updated version of events, she summons a fiery raptor to surround her as she utilizes this power to finally end Apocalypse.

Superman

As more people wonder if Superman is a good guy or a big jerk, Superman’s character in Injustice proves the latter. Kal-El, commonly known as Clark Kent, or Superman, is the main antagonist to the comic book series and video game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

After losing his wife and his unborn child, the Man of Steel was overwhelmed with grief, which led him down a path full of rage and hatred. He killed the Joker brutally after destroying Metropolis and then went on to run the world just like how a mad dictator would. Because Kryptonite is the only thing that can injure Superman, he has superhuman strength and the ability to fly, and is almost indestructible. His eyes have the ability to fire heat bursts, and he has telescopic to microscopic vision. In addition to seeing a wider spectrum than human sight, he is also able to see radio waves and x-rays. By focusing, he can make faint sounds among the din. His lungs can store air for extended periods of time in situations devoid of oxygen and have the potential to compress this air before exhaling it in a frigid manner. By sheer willpower alone, Superman is able to travel at extraordinary speeds. This includes his perceptions, which enable feats like collecting bullets in midair and traveling great distances quickly.

Jason Todd – Red Hood

Jason Todd was a juvenile vigilante before Batman discovered him and took him in as the second Robin after Dick Grayson left and became known as the Nightwing. He ran quests with Batman, but he became cocky and ruthless as he grew older.

Eventually, Jason, a.k.a Robin, was killed by the Joker but brought back to life (of course, what do you expect in comic books?) Enraged at Batman for not being able to avenge his death, Robin adopted Joker’s former identity, the Red Hood, and started controlling crime in Gotham City in his murderous ways. The accomplishment of amazing human feats requiring balance, agility, and motor coordination is known as acrobatics. Equipment, including tightropes, trapezes, unicycles, balls, barrels, and/or poles, are frequently used in this combination. Accurate timing and rapid reactions are necessary for acrobatic performance. When done safely, it can enhance strength and general physical condition. Jason uses acrobatics in his fighting and fighting techniques. He can run across cities, keep up with opponents who are acrobatic, jump high, and use his agility to avoid falls that would kill most people. While Jason’s training with Batman was an essential part of his past, as a result of his training with both Talia al Ghul and the All-Caste, Jason has demonstrated a preference for brutality, strength, and speed in battle. Some of the martial styles that he is familiar with are; Aikido, Capoeira, Karate, Ninjutsu, Savate, Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Silat, and Tae Kwon Do.

Green Lantern – Parallax

When superheroes become boring, do you know what the comics do? Destroy the hero’s city and turn him into a supervillain. The Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, also fell into this trap. After Coast City was abolished, he went on a murderous rampage to kill everyone and become the supervillain, Parallax. ( Do you see a pattern yet?)

It was later revealed in the Green Lantern: Rebirth that Hal was infected by a parasitic cosmic entity that embodied fear and took advantage of Jordan’s grief to ravage the world. The Parallax was removed, and Hal got his body back to become the Green Lantern again. He possessed entity-level abilities while under Parallax’s control. He harnessed the chronal energies Antimonitor emitted during Zero Hour to try and reconstruct the cosmos. Hal Jordan possessed all of his powers during his brief time as the Spectre, but they were weaker than before (for example, Jordan had problems keeping the spirits of criminals killed by the previous Spectre). Hal is an accomplished athlete and fighter. He has demonstrated his fighting prowess by taking down opponents while blind and has additionally gotten training from the Justice League of America, which instructs new recruits on how to fight. Hal has often shown that he’s a respected leader, and not just among the Green Lantern Corps. He was compelled to join forces with the Darkstars and the L.E.G.I.O.N. due to a crisis on Maltus, but he was more than able to bring the three organizations together throughout the conflict.
